FAQs on California Rule of Court 3.672 Remote Appearances
Local Rules effective July 1, 2023
Recently passed bills SB 133 and AB 133 extend the authorization for Remote Appearances in Civil and Juvenile cases. Juvenile justice remote appearances will now be governed by Welfare & Institutions Code section 679.5. Remote appearances in civil commitments and other specified proceedings (including LPS conservatorship) will now be governed by CCP 367.76. Our local rule 1.4.01 does not reflect these changes since it occurred after the deadline for submission of our local rules. Changes to our local rule will be made in the next cycle.
