Review this brief guidance before you begin:

• Search by entering a full or partial name of the Party you are searching for using Last, First (SMITH, JOHN) format.
• You can also search by entering in the Case Number.
• To get more result matches, enter a partial name or just the first few letters.
• The search term is not case sensitive.
• For cases opened prior to June 1985, a search may need to be done through the Court’s Records Department or at the public kiosks in person.

Currently, public online access to documents electronically filed (or scanned) within a case are only available to be viewed in civil and small claims cases through the Court’s portal system. This does not include restraining orders, petitions for compromise of minor or disabled adult, probate, or family law.

• For public viewing of case documents, please visit the public kiosks located at both the Santa Cruz or Watsonville locations.  
• For attorneys of record for a party in a case, documents can be viewed in any case by logging in through their portal account.
