Court Tours
The first Santa Cruz courthouse was an esteemed Romanesque Revival building, much revered for its brick architecture, and faithfully served the county until 1967, when court operations relocated to a new site. Over the years, the courthouse has moved and expanded throughout Santa Cruz County. The current courthouses are located at 701 Ocean Street in Santa Cruz, 1 Second Street in Watsonville, and our Juvenile courthouse is located in Felton.
The Santa Cruz and Watsonville courthouses are open to public observation, though seating is limited and granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Daily courtroom schedules are posted for public perusal, categorized into "Morning" and "Afternoon" calendars. Sessions typically run from 8:30 AM to noon in the mornings and from 1:30 PM to 5 PM in the afternoons.
